DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

Why teach marketing?
Marketing teachers never have the same day twice. One day they might be in the classroom, the next visiting students on the job during supervised marketing experience, preparing students for DECA competitive events, leading a community service activity with their DECA Chapter, setting up a school-based enterprise at a home football game, or traveling across the country to a DECA conference.
Marketing Teachers
Teach by doing, not just telling
Share their passion for Business and Marketing
Create lessons that are hands-on
Reach students, including those who might not be as successful in a traditional classroom
Teach about relevant and current topics. Like the latest Nike or McDonald's ad campaign
Travel locally and nationally
Work with new and emerging technology
Constantly learning
What makes teaching marketing great?

We asked marketing educators from across the state what makes their career awesome.
My high school marketing teachers inspired me to teach. 20 years later,
I have found no greater joy in life than being an educator. From the
classroom, to DECA and FBLA, I continue to love my career and leave
and impact that can never be erased.
